I have taken my car here a few times, first time they scratched the sht out of the paint, not sure how, but when i took it back they said no pwobwem and go out a buffing machine and cut it down to primer..in front of me!! and this was my 13 day old Hilux mind you! This then cost me 3000b to get fixed at the new meguiers centre....anyway out of sheer stupidty and convenience i dropped it back there for a plain and simple wash of the exterior a few days ago...i went to pick it up and all looked fine...got it bak to work and noticed a big scratch down to primer on my drivers door...and then to make things worse my brand new shoes where missing from my car....the contents of my glovebox and centre console were also laying out on the floor and passanger seat when i instructed them to clean the exterior only..

i drove back to the shop no more than 5 minutes after finding my shoes where gone and one of the extremely intelligent staff was wearing my new shoes whilst cleaning the next customers car!!!!

Stay away from these guys, they are your common uneducated thieving group of thais.

When i pulled up he quckly shuffled behind a scooter so i couldnt see them...and i was like "ummm are they my shoes..." and he just smiled and pretended he didnt understand..then my wife got out and got stuck into him in thai...he smiled and had a little laugh as he handed them back to me...

Reminds me of a few months ago a good friend was moving from Chalong to Kata, and one of the removalists stole his $16,000 gold chain which he stupdily left in a locked chest of drawers..anyway police interrogated the removalists..and a week after the event the extremely intelligent thief worse this huge chain to work to show it off hahahah...just goes to show how smart these guys really are.

Mekka, posting on here will not stop them re-offending, it will only stop one or 2 people from going.

Try doing the next victim a favor by reporting them to police. A visit from the police is much more effective than posting on TV.

mekka, you have been reading far too many forums about police doing nothing. In all my time I have been in Patong (live there, have a business there) I have NEVER heard of a reported incident not followed up. Ok, not much else happens after the initial "visit" but 99% of all incidents of theft reported to the police do actually get attended to.

Sure, some incidents are not attended to as they are practically impossible to find the culprit. For example you were pick pocketed by someone in Tiger disco... or you were mugged by a Thai guy in a red tuk tuk....

At the end of the day you knew the offending person and you knew his place of work. You even had this scumbag wearing the stolen items, but you still failed to report it.

By doing nothing you have merely encouraged the offender to commit the same crime on the next person
