So, What Is It Like Up There

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I am from the Central Plains of Thailand, been up twice in 17 years to your province long ago.

Is it worth a visit again and why?

Is the Dusit still there by the river? Ate in the Chinese restaurant there :o

The Golden Triangle, Kan one see it ? or is it over built?

The Imperial Hotel just opened on my last visit BTW, still there?

Kan Win :D

Best time of the year up here! I like the Rain Season with clear skyes and very fresh.

It rains maybe 2-3 times a week, mostly between 15 and 45 minutes, very local rain.

Dusit is still here and Golden Triangle is worth a visit. Other places to visit are Doi Mae Salong, Doi Tung (both the Royal Villa with the fantastic garden and the temple and the Zoo!), Mae Sai and go over to Myanmar.

And this is the best time fot taking photos here!

:o:D:D

I agree with svenivan.

A grand time ,not too hot but clean fresh air.

The Dusit still does Dim Sum Lunches & the Wiang Inn good value buffet lunches.

Relax & Enjoy.

And a have good holiday

I don't think you guys are talking about Chiang Rai.

It has been unusally hot in Muang Chiang Rai for the last few weeks.

Shhhh prawn soup, we like people to think we have the best weather in Thailand ALL year round.

P.S. and please blame "sceadugenga" :D for me being on this forum :D

I have a slight feeling that the prices might not be the same :o

Anyhow, food seems to be a very prominent subject in a lot of Chiang Rai threads these days.
