Cuts To Air Services To C Rai

Featured Replies

In todays Travel section, in the Bangkok Post, they are saying the following.

Nok Air has cancelled ALL services to C Rai

Thai airways has cut flights from 3 to 2 daily

Air Asia from 3 flights to 1 daily.

This seEms to be s drastic reaction and quite surprising. The 3 times I have flown to C Rai in recent times the planes were fully booked.

They are expecting tourism numbers to be down 5 % which sounds like an uneducated guess.

Why would a 5% drop in tourism warrant a more than 50% cut in flights?

The 5% could be for public consumption .. and it could be a "tipping point".
