mangostays Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 Hello, Can anybody confirm (or deny) the current status of the proposed shift in transfere tax from 3% (or whatever it was) to 0.001%? This was supposed to happen a few weeks ago in an attempt to stimulate the real estate market. I've asked the lands department for clarification on Koh Phangan, but they generally mumble into their coffee cups and then stare off into space until you go away. Any advice appreciated.
Pilchard Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 As far as I know the land transfer tax was reduced to 0.01 % in March this year and is still in place. Samui Land office is currently using this new %. Don't know if there is pre set a time limit on this reduction or not
