Anyone Shooting Mf Like 6x7 Or 6x8?

Featured Replies

Hello,

After using Contax (RTS III) and Hasselblad gear for a decade, I am now starting all over by buying with Mamiya RB 67 equipment on eBay. They have some nice APO lenses and the prices in the USA are not bad.

Is anyone shooting MF and still using roll films? where do you get them developed? Is there a wet B&W lab where you might rent enlargers etc. by the day, maybe including an assistant? I was asked to shoot a friend's wedding and I want to beat the pack with their DSLRs on image quality :o

But soon, I will want to go digital. Mamiya's own 22 MP digital back is just inside my price range at $ 7,000. But they do not offer an adapter for the RB gear.

If anyone is familiar with Mamiya equipment, I would love to get some advice here, too. I thought I could start with the old and trusted RB and maybe later upgrade to the RZ? As a Mamiya importer told me their 645 model is far less reliable than the big 67 models.

Cheers, Chris

If you need to develope and process your own films then a darkroom is a must.

I am an amatuer photographer and 6x7 is also my favourite. My darkroom is capable

of processing and printing up to 6x9 negative size. I sometimes mix my own working solutions.

At this very moment I can do only B&W work but two of the enlargers (I have three) are

already equipped with color heads.

If you are interested in doing your darkroom work you may use mine.

I live in Ladprao area which is not too far away.

I bought new Hasselblad H3D II and planning to sell my RZ with 3 lens. Are you still intersting in RZ?
