Return Of Passport Uk Visa

Hi simple one really, I have the completed form for my girlfriend and she has been b4 so i am sure she will get the visa...

However, after she has appointment for fingerprints etc and hands in application at the Visa office I understand it can take 2-5 working days for return to the centre of the passport.

She works in Phuket so Ideally doesnt want to spend wednesday to friday an then maybe even until tuesday and wednesday waiting in Bangkok.

So can the passport be posted back by the application centre to Bangkok or failing this can a Bangkok based friend pick it up and onforward it with her authority????
