Ferdinand - Terry - Ferdinand - Terry - Ferdinand - Terry - Ferdinand - Terry

Think I'll jump off a cliff !

Honestly. Can anyone name a current England squad member with the attributes worthy of being a Captain, that hasn't done something totally shamefull. It's ridiculous that we currently haven't got a "mr clean" who can be seen as a good example to the kids.

Michael Dawson's the mr clean but unfortunately he's not quite good enough.

But here's a thing. Since we are <deleted> anyway, does it matter. Publicly humiliate terry and drop him , install Dawson as captain clean, job done. :)

I think Gareth Barry is the only one that could pass that interview, maybe Carrick

Shameful what has happened and cannot believe that joe public have allowed it to happen,he is a complete tosser

Reading the resposes to it on the likes of sky and other football websites its really only the Chelsea fans, probably most only watching football since 2004, that are putting up a staunch defense of Terry. Says it all really.

Thanks to the likes of Capello, Terry, the FA and a genaral lack of talent our national side is in a worse state than it has been in for a very very long time.

No, he's nowhere near good enough, not " not quite good enough "..

See Fulham in the Cup as proof & anyway, you simply wouldnt' be saying this if he wasn't a T*ttingham Player which is ridiculous...

Parker should be Captain, he's the best leader we have, undoubtedly, & even Colin knows it..

I don't think what Colin says is hugely important in the scope of things. The errrh Dawson suggestion was an attempt at humour mate. You Wet Spam really need to lighten up. ;) I could'nt really suggest Parker because i cant remember the last time i saw him in the team.

Was it really ?? Must have been a pretty poor attempt then & i'd suggest there was an element of truth to it also..:)

I just find the whole thing totally bizarre. It reflects incredibly poorly on Capello's judgment (to the extent you question if he has any.)

The facts are simple....

1) You sack captain Terry on the basis that he was shagging one of the team players (ex) wife as well as accepting bribes to escort VIPs round Stamford Bridge. No problem but also no problem if you take an 'off the pitch is not my concern' only judge a player by what he contributes 'on the pitch'.

2) Having sacked Terry for not having the morale calibre to be a captain he proves your point by undermining both Capello and the existing captain, half way through the world cup, with some ridiculous 'I am the leader speech'.

3) So having completely proven beyond doubt that the decision to make him captain in the first place was a huge mistake (on the basis that he is obviously a complete and utter tosser) you then choose to reappoint him.

As I say totally bizarre....

think the england captaincy issue is massively over-stated and given too much importance by most any way really, but the sad truth is that most footballers who are england regulars - particularly the senior ones - are just <deleted> basically. there's nothing particularly laudable or likable about them.

to quote someone on twitter about terry: "it's true john terry divides opinion - 95% of people think he's a cun_t and the other 5% simply don't regard him that highly."

Come on chaps!

Important match today so let's talk about the rest of your squad.....Crouch or Carroll up front then?

I thought it was going to be Bent. Capello supposedly ruled out Carroll by saying he was 'unfit'.

I think Terry promised fabs some free shopping tips from mom, a vice squad interview checklist from dad and a personalised blue book of shagalishish wags on england, including bb meesenger codes.

So when terry does his back in against wales, who will fabs turn to next-a.cole?

Terry claims in an interview today,he is a "natural leader".

This the same dysfunctional, ego maniac, serial offender who sat on the pitch and bawled his eyes out when he missed the penalty against Man United in the Champions league final. A real man, and leader, would have got up, congratulated the opposition and walked off with a bit of dignity. Capello and Terry what a double act.

Hi Chaps, Anyone know which TV station is showing the game tonight? Cheers.

Not sure Mr Beam ,the True web site gives you nothing and the red button dosent help either. Its channel surfing time

To close, another gem from John Terry today. "Capello is the man to lead us to glory in the 2012 Europaen Championship"

Pay back time "Was that alright Mr Capello did I say the right thing ?

Thanks for that. Seems I'll have to keep looking. I checked the BBC web site today and it seems they have got it, not Sky. So I am hoping that it will be on Channel 3 or 7?

Does Terry really feel he has to lick his ass.

I personally have nothing against Terry. But when Capello reinstated him as Captain, he lost any credibility, he might still have. I still can not believe he got another contract before the World Cup. Kin joke. Can't wait to see the back of him.

Outstanding performance from Scott Parker.

Nothing different from normal, more conserved tonight if anything..

Thought Dawson looked well shaky against Millwall's number 9 ..

 Rob Green.

But he might drop the armband when they chucked it to him! :D

I dreamt last night that in the dressing room before the match the players had JT in the middle of the room while they tossed the armband around finally it was in Crouchie's grasp well out of his reach while he begged for it back. :D

I need to cut back on the anti-psychotics I know...:(
