Cheap Places To Stay Near Lumpinee?

Recommended Posts

Posted

I am flyign into bangkok tomorrow night to watch a friend fight in Lumpinee, is there anywhere near by I could stay cheaply for 2 nights - i.e. cheap guest house, etc?

Also I am wishing to store my bags for 2 weeks whilst I travel to Isaan, does anyone know of anywhere?

I am wondering whether it would be cheaper to stay in say Khao San and travel to Lumpinee, or just stay in Lumpinee... hmm.

Used to be a number of cheap guest houses w/i walking distance from the Malaysia Hotel, Soi Ngam Duphli, off Rama IV--if that's near. Get to the Malaysia and ask a taxi driver.

I know this answer is too late for the trip you mentioned but if you come for boxing again try the Pinnacle Lumpinee. It's a good clean cheap hotel near the corner of Rama IV and Soi Ngam Duphli only about 5 minutes walk from the Lumpini Boxing Stadium. I book it online through Agoda to get the best rate.

Try motoring along Rama IV to Bangkok Self Storage which is next door to the Boss Tower. I left my bag there In January, paid 5kTHB up front for a year. Having said that, I haven't been back yet, but I'm pretty confident it will still be there :o:D

Are there still left-luggage facilities at the railway station?

There's a decent-looking guesthouse on Langsuan soi 5, a few minutes walk from Lumpini Park.

I don't remember the name, but could respond with that tomorrow (I live on Soi Langsuan) with the name and its URL.

The advertised price on the front window is 1000 baht/night. Good thai-style restaurant across the street (the reason I know about the guesthouse is because the teerak likes eating at that restaurant).
