Charity Shop In Phuket

Featured Replies

got some bits and bobs that are hardly used/worn, moving away soon, anyone know of any charity shops in Phuket???

No, but I'd love to see ANY Charity Shops anywhere.

A Thai Visa member used to have a charity shop. Can't remember his name and he has not posted for many many months. Anyone remember his member name or know if his shop is still open.

His user name is Yaimar - last post was end of March. Don't know if his shop is still in operation.

If you have bits and bobs that you dont need, just go to the local construction site, there are many families there in need of the basics.......

Misterman - charity shops usually are genuine charities

There are second hand shops on Phuket Island but I don't recall a charity shop per say

Wasnt there one called 'Thaitanic' or similar ??

Remember reading how they were helping out a single mother with proceeds from various donated stuff sales.

That was Yaimar's shop. He sold off donated items, with money going to destitute women & children.

They are called temples. Any unwanted clothes or goods can be donated there and the monks will distribute them. And you will make merit.
