I would like to buy a small, simple condo, or maybe two, in Chiang Mai or any other area in the north, i.e. Chiang Rai or Issan. The purpose is to own them and rent them out to other people, like retired farang.

Budget around 1 million or a tad more per condo. Anybody got any leads?

Dear Focus:

I would suggest you do a little research into the market for rentals before desiding where to buy. The north is a relatively big place but not sure of the demand by retirees.

Check out the real estate agnents. There are plenty to see on the internet. Good place to get a feel for prices and sizes.
