I'm offloading some of my older EF lenses and before I auction them on Ebay maybe you might like to make an offer?

Canon EF 28-80 L f2.8-4 - In mint and totally unmarked condition, glass is clean and fungus free, recent CLA at Canon, Hoya filter, hood and both body caps. Very sharp lens with brilliant film like renditions.

Canon EF 35mm f2 - (not L lens) - mint and unmarked, glass clean and fungus free, both body caps and lens hood

Canon EF 24mm f2.8 - (not L lens) - Mint condition, perfectly clean and fungus free glass, body caps and hood. This lens has periodic contact problems and sometimes needs "coaxing" to function. Nevertheless it works everytime.

Canon 80-200 L f2.8 - a constant f2.8 and a very sharp "L" lens. Body is unmarked and mint, tripod adapter, body caps, filter and hood. This lens needs attention as the class shows some fungus and (again) the contacts sometimes needs "coaxing" to function. I swear this lens is sharper than my latest 70-200 L

All the above are the original black lenses and were purchased by me new.

Linhoff Tripod - Pan and tilt head which can be removed and affixed to a position a mere 2" from the ground for low shots. Remakably flexible. Light in weight also. Gassed and functioning perfectly. I bought this item new 25 years ago and it's been brilliant. It's a bit battered as you might expect. Not many Linhoffs around these days!

Make me a reasonable offer via P.M. and we'll deal

I thought I'd bump this thread just to show you how much your "old" lenses are worth.

Items sold on Ebay at quite amazing prices!

The 28-80 L (mint) sold for $950! :o (I reckoned about $500)

80-200 L (needs a good service) $750! :D (my reserve was $100)

35mm f2 (mint) $200 :D (reserve $75)

24mm f2.8 (needs attention) $175 :D (reserve $50)

Linhoff tripod $200 :D (reserve $30)

Goes to show the price of sentiment eh?

Did you sell the 5D?

No, never offered it as I'm not yet in possession of it's replacement. I figure I'll need to wait a little while for the reviewers to alert us all to the MK11 problems (if there are any)

With or without initial bugs, you probably should wait till you have your Mk2 in hand for a few months before deciding to get rid of 5D.
