This MIGHT be a dumb question!

Last night on the way home from the market (irrelevant - I know)

The car windows started steaming up really badly on the OUTSIDE!

Now - I know ALL about steaming up the windows on the inside :o

The problem would seem to be warmer damper air outside than in.

I put the fan on max, and temp to warmest and the setting to screen clear - but no joy.

Has anyone found a way to vercome this problem?

Thanks

Yes I've suffered that problem and a right pain in the butt it is too. The cure, as meom says, is to turn off the a/c and open the windows. It does take a little time though as the glass has to warm up above the dew point and the condensed water has to evaporate. You can speed it up by carrying a chamois leather with you to wipe down the windows but you'll still have to go without the a/c or they'll just steam up again.

It's still better than those lovely mornings having to scrape the frost off the windows before you can get underway.

Windshield wpers ?

For door windows etc. as suggested above and...

If a regular problem (for a few days while the weather is cooler) smear a drop of washing up liquid over the affected window while dry, as the the condensation forms it will flow together and down off the glass rather than for droplets that make vision difficult.
