Pants Dancer Resigns

Featured Replies

AN Australian government minister has been forced to quit after he was seen dancing in his undies at an office party. Matt Brown resigned last Wednesday only three days after he was sworn in as police minister of New South Wales.

The resignation came after reports were leaked that Brown danced in "very brief" pants to techno music on a leather couch during a drunken office party.

He was then housing minister.

Rees said he demanded Brown's resignation on Wednesday night because the former lawyer gave assurances that "absolutely nothing untoward" had happened during the party.

"I subsequently put it to former minister Brown late last night that there are too many reports of you in your underwear for me to ignore," Rees told local radio.

"He conceded he'd been in his underwear and that gave me no option but to demand his resignation," Rees added.

Telephone calls to Brown's office went unanswered Thursday.

The scandal is a blow to Rees' efforts to revive the flagging fortunes of the 13-year-old Labour Party government with a new leadership team.

"Embarrassed doesn't begin to describe it," Rees said.

well thank god he wasn't caught hosting a cookery show :D

I bet he does not get invited back to cabinet in the next few days. :o

Ugly Pants!

Who on earth would wear such an abomination?!?

They are the sort of pants that your Mum would buy for you, but most grown men would bin them or stick them in a drawer.

extremely interesting news! more details please :o

I dont understand some of the idiotic reasons people are forced to resign or fired for.

So he got drunk at an office party and danced in his undies, and?

Oh well.

No, eek. He wasn't fired because of that, he was fired because when the Premier asked him if it was true he LIED about it.

The thought of a politician telling porkies was too much to contemplate so out he went.

I thought all Australian men danced in their undies at drunken parties.

Yeah we keep them on in front of Poms and Americans and other foreigners. Those envious looks can be really heartrending.

It's funny when politicians have to resign for mere image reasons when they could be perfectly competent and good at their job. Don't know if that's the case, but dismissals like this are silly for me.

Stupid prissy ockor gummint.

Just harmless fun.

More fools those who knock him, sack them.

Mind boggling waste os time.

The guys a liar... he lied to his boss. If he's had the wit God gave to wombats he'd have 'fessed up, taken a rap on the knuckles and would be back on the job.

There's huge baggage in the background here as well. A Federal MP threatened to get the staff of a restaurant the sack after a blue in Sydney and her husband, also a member of the NSW government lied to protect her. (After she lied about the incident to the press).

Premier Rees is a "new broom" recently appointed premier. He has to show the electorate that he's not going to tolerate people lying to him, and, as naturally follows, lying to the people.

IT'S NOTHING TO DO WITH SOME F###ING IDIOT DANCING IN HIS JOCKS!!!

Not sure if this is a spoof site or not - but I am informed that such items are availble in gentleman's sizes.
