How To Export My Cbr150 From Bangkok To Vietnam (hcmc)

Featured Replies

Hello everybody,

I' m Michael from Bangkok owner of a CBR 150.

I m going to move in Vietnam and I would like to bring with me my CBR150 HONDA.

Any people can have some information about which process to follow if I want to import to Vietnam my moto.

May be I will ride my motorycle to Vietnam by crossing Cambodia.

Thank you in advance for your help

Cheers

When I first came to Vietnam many moons ago I looked at that myself, but a 150% import tax quickly made me drop that idea. You can bring in the bike on a "carnet de passage" but expect lots of paperwork as well as officially only being allowed to bring in the bike for a limited time.

Are CBR 150's available for purchase in Vietnam?

It might be a lot less hassle and paperwork to sell your CBR here in Thailand and buy a new one (or something similar) in Vietnam... Just an idea :o Good luck!

Dear Hano and BigBikeBKK,

Thank s for your replies.

Anyway, I will try to import it in Vietnam, I guess the 150 % import taxes it s only for car and not for motorcyle or may be big one.

60-70% on duty alone, and that comes straight from the horse's mouth. Better to buy when you get there.

May be I will ride my motorycle to Vietnam by crossing Cambodia.

Yeah yeah. No chance. I think you seriously need to do some research on getting into Vietnam by motorcycle.
