UK Supreme Court Rules ‘Woman’ Means Biological Female, in Landmark Decision
Oh, I'm sorry Crying Dick, was that an attempt at sarcasm? You know what they say about sarcasm and wit, right?Sorry, my but my sarcasm meter must be confused by all of the unadulterated drival that it has to filter out. What is with the derogertory age comments, is that your best shot at a put down? I see them often appearing on this forum i.e. references to being old and past it. Hell, I was even accussed just the other day of using "out dated terms". Be off with you, you gelded Cretin. -

Harvard University resists
I guess you slept through the Pro-Palestine Encampment and the Claudine Gay fiasco. Not hard to believe the way the MSM was spinning it. -

Bachelor’s degree in the Philippines
If you have never heard the term 'edutainer' then that means you dont work in the education industry. Let me break it down for you: EDU-cation enter-TAINER EDU+TAINER results in a coined term thats been around nearly 20 years that mocks the incompetent teachers who almost only play games and mess around with the kids rather than teach them in a meaningful way. It is what thais are/were looking for in farang a while ago, and possibly still are. It stems from the thai and foreign attitude "I just want my kid to be happy". Parents dont realise that their kids need an education rather than a smile on their faces. The proof is in the pudding. Regularly here, on AN, we hear of the results of the kids in english as tested in ASEAN, and even global tests. There is a reason why education meant something a long time ago... and it wasnt eduTation -

How come they don't understand that week-long water throwing is actually bad for business?
I did songkran in Pattaya once back in 2005. It was my third trip to the country since 2004. I found it very unpleasant. Sure an afternoon or a day or two frolicking around in a bathing suit and playing with water is kind of fun, but not for a week. I like to walk around, go out to eat, ride the baht bus around town, go shopping etc. Absolutely a royal pain getting soaked all the time going out. I had no desire to splash water and stand among crowds for 5 or 6 days straight! One thing I noticed, and this is probably a good thing is the way many Thais literally attacked foreigners with water. I think they were venting or releasing some anger. Its probably ok they do that with water than with other ways. No doubt some Thais resent many foreigners, especially ones that brag about their status, or laugh or make fun of some Thai things which of course is horrible to do. -

German Tourists Hit by Songthaew While Using Zebra Crossing in Khao Lak
The Germans are causing problems everywhere! No. Here it hits a German family. Thai zebra crossings: either you drive through and risk running over pedestrians, or you stop and risk a rear-end collision. Fortunately, the Thais trust their own experience and use the zebra crossing extremely carefully. Foreigners, like the German family here, rely on the traffic rules. An almost fatal mistake. -
