From what I can remember, it is not exactly painful but extraordinarily distessing and can be quite traumatic! But mine didn't go very well.

Just been texting with her, the receptions pretty bad so calls are going to voicemail but she seems to be keeping her spirits up (I have a nice photo text of her with plastic bag on her head!!) but yes, it sounds like a pretty nasty process.

Fingers crossed she can get out of hospital soon. Must be bored out of her box.

Basically, it is where they put a tube down your throat with a camera on the end and pass a solution through as well to collect samples from the infected area, it really isn't very pleasant.

Spoke to our friend tonight, she is in good spirits by the sound of it, still undergoing intravenous drips and oxygen tanks but seems to be bearing up.
