Anti-inflammatory Drugs

Featured Replies

Here's the problem........got a watermelon seed stuck in a hole in a upper tooth 4 days ago which i managed to get out with a cocktail stick........problem is a must of aggravated the nerve as i now have a swelling from my mouth to just under my eye! Can anybody recommend a good anti-inflammatory drug to get rid of the swelling. Thanks in advance.

800mgs of ibuprofen is safe and easy.

Since voltaren is available over the counter in LOS that's an option too.

I used to use the injectable one for a sore back. Long term use has possible injection site issues.

Butrasil, 20cc injected into the butt, works well with cows not sure about people though :o

"Relefen" - not a generic but the trade name.

Works good for muscle inflamation etc.

i also have such experiences in my mouth , just since there is a new teeth growing in my furthest side of mouth , and in a new year ..so terrible thing ...so much lovely food and lovely snacks , but i couldn't open mouth well... anyway , i take niuhuangjiedu tablets produced by our factory , just on hand ....well i am ok , i also missed those festivals and happy times.

diclofenac....

no.1

yep, diclofenac works for me. Trade name is voltaren.

Does that contain Ibuprofen?

Not that i'm aware. Was told by a dentist that the best way to block tooth pain was to use 2 painkillers. He gave the example of Ibuprofen and Panadol togeather. both painkillers work two different ways and give a much better chance of success.

only too willing to help (when I can)

cheers

Update.........antibiotics did the trick ,looking forward to my first beer in a week tonight!! :o

This is a good web site listing medications, side effects etc. I recommend you use this only for reference and consult a qualified medical practitioner prior to taking any medication.
