Any Construction Lawyers Out There?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where I can get hold of construction law books in Bkk. I have found legal texts to be pretty thin on the ground amongst the general book shops.

Does anyone know of any specialist law bookshops in Bkk or have I got to go to Hong Kong/Singapore?

Have you tried the Chulalongkorn university bookshop close to the hard rock cafe near Siam Paragon. They have a good selection.

Here's a link to their library. http://library.car.chula.ac.th/ A search for "Construction law" brings up 190 titles.

Thanks for the link.

There are about 30-40 construction law books out of the 190 quoted.

Some of them may be useful. My only concern is that a lot of them are 10+yrs old which is not so relevant for some of my requirements. I know that there are more recent editions available.

If the library bookshop is in the same building as The British Council then I have been there a few times and found nothing of use.

Anyway, thanks for the information it is a useful place to start.

I know there is a technical bookstore out beyond Chaeng Wattana/Pakret with a reasonable law section. I am just not sure if the books are up to date. As in most of Asia they tend to be books from the west that are out of print or old editions sold cheaply to Asian countries because they are not able to sell them in the west.

The university bookshop is the one next to the British council. That's the only place I know. I did find some legal publishers a couple of years back but can't remember where now.

Good luck with your search.
