The Truth About Beer

Featured Replies

interesting, and sooooo true

Coopers Home Brew in Australia created a marketing furore when it ran a campaign that featured a woman who in the venacular of my grandfather "was an unfortunate looking woman" - Butt ugly would be the modern way of saying it. The header for the ad was "how much to make her good looking" The premise being that at full price the amount of beer needed to make her good looking was too high but as a home brew it was cheap. The ads raised the ire of many womens groups and the advertising council as being sexist and totally politically incorrect but were very successful.

I have a copy of the ad in CM and had it displayed in my bar in Samui were we used it as a quasi breatherliser - if she is looking good you have had too much to drink and time to go home.

All I get is a blank page when I click on your hyperlink.

Is beer dead?

TV has problems with external links at the moment and George is looking into it. In the meantime you can just copy the below and paste in a tab/window.
