I was thinking of buying the Triton Double Cab 3.2L 4x4 Limited but was concerned of future ( unknown ) diesel prices, then I noticed the 2.5L 4x4 Limited option.

Can anybody clarify if the spec of the 2.5L 4x4 Limited and 3.2L 4x4 Limited is exactly the same apart from engine size.

Also if anybody has a 2.5 4x4 Limited how gutless is the engine as it must be struggling with all the extra weight of the 4x4 running gear ? :o

It would be very expensive for the manufacturer to retool for a smaller/larger engine. Whilst I can't be positive in regards to the Triton, I know that Toyota uses the same evrything except for their engines on the Vigo line.

Yeah, not much power avalible is there, I would feel I was again driving a 1970s Ford Zodiac, they made one the size of a Cruise liner and powerd it with a 2.5L engine that was compleatly lost in the engine bay, infact there was so much room in there they used the free space to store the spare wheel, and Im not joking !

Just for referance to anybody els thinking of the 2.5 I confirmed today that the spec is not the same as the 3.2

No electric leather seats. no air bag. no cool box. even with the saving in money it's still a gutless pig. :o
