What Countries Can My Tw Holiday In?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

please can anyone advise me on which countries my Thai wife can visit for a holiday without applying for any other visa's? She is currently on a 2 yr UK settlement visa, she seems to think she can visit Hong Kong and other asian countries?

Many thanks

Hello matey hope things are good,

As far as I know she still (intill she has uk passport) will need to get the visas for each place, dont think it makes any diffrence as she is only on a uk FLR ( M)

bread

Sure she would be able to visit most Asean countries, Laos, Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore, for Cambodia she can get visa on arrival, Hong Kong, Macau would be visa free also.

In Europe, Russia would also be visa free.

Then there are Brasil, Argentina Chili and Peru. But that's the other side :o

Wife has been with me to Spain, Greece, Turkey on Thai passport over the last 7 years - minor paperwork for Turkey done through post.

Our last trip was 2005 though as we have now moved back to Thailand. Probably best to check with relevant embassy when you decide which country to go to (most have decent websites with upto date info)

Thx everyone for all your help, appreciate it very much

Visa free? - Gibraltar, or Bermuda.

Most other countries, including the European ones, she'll require a visa. However, in relation to EEA member states, the visa should be issued without demur and be free of charge as she is married to a British citizen.

Scouse.

As she holds a UK settlement visa she can enter Switzerland as a tourist without a visa. However this may change when Switzerland fully implements their membership of the Schengen agreement.
