Report Northern Thailand Sizzles as Heat Peaks at 42.3°C in Mae Hong Son
File photo for reference only As Thailand transitions from summer towards the rainy season, the northern provinces have clinched the top spots for the hottest locations, with Muang district in Mae Hong Son hitting a scorching 42.3°C on Sunday, according to data from the Meteorological Department. This fiery trend sees Lampang appear three times in the top 10, with Chiang Mai's Muang district closing the list in tenth place. Other northern locales such as Mae Sariang in Mae Hong Son and Mae Sot in Tak also endured blistering temperatures over the weekend. Here's a snapshot of the hottest recordings: Muang, Mae Hong Son: 42.3°C Muang, Lamphun: 41.0°C Muang, Lampang: 40.6°C Mae Sariang, Mae Hong Son: 40.5°C Thoen, Lampang: 40.3°C Hang Chat, Lampang: 40.0°C Mae Sot, Tak: 39.5°C Muang, Phrae: 39.1°C Muang, Nan: 39.1°C Muang, Chiang Mai: 39.1°C On Saturday, the northern region was also the hottest, closely following a similar pattern with Mae Hong Son again leading at 41.5°C. Meteorologists anticipate the summer to wrap around mid-May, having officially started on 28 February. However, the immediate forecast warns of looming summer storms expected from Monday to Thursday, predominantly affecting northern and northeastern provinces. Forecaster Manoon Da-oi cautioned that some areas might experience hail, thunderstorms, and even lightning, underscoring the volatile weather during this transitional period. As residents grapple with these extreme conditions, it serves as a stark reminder of the region's weather variability and the pressing need for preparedness in the face of nature's extremes. Android Box + using a USB stick
The ability to read the USB stick depends on the file format, formatting of the USB, and Android software version in the box itself. Any incompatibility, the USB becomes invisible. I have a mxQ box which seems to read everything. The inbuilt software in the TV itself will only read MP4 files. -
