I'm wondering if anyone has any advice about accomodation in Koh Phangan over Christmas. We've just arrived and aren't too sure about whether to book a hotel online or to wait till we get there around the 20th. Is this too late to find somewhere? Or does anyone know of a better place to spend Christmas?

You'll definitely find somewhere although the quality may be pretty poor. Would suggest getting to the island at least a week before unless you want to stay in a rat-hole in Had-rin. If you can't, would book somewhere first. Charm beach half way between had-rin and Thong Sala is a good bungalow operation.

Book in advance if you can even if its just for a night or two while you find your own digs.
