Person Wanted to share Visa Run Private Car We are 2 people leaving from Koh Phangan within the next 10 days to the Malaysian border.

Leaving Koh Phangan 05:00am Raja Ferry to Donsak then private car to Khuandon and back to Donsak by 16:30pm for the ferry to Koh Phangan,arriving by 18:30pm.The price to rent the car is 5,200 baht.

So divided by 3 people is 1700 baht per person or divided by 4 people 1,300.

If leaving from Koh Phangan there is an extra 500 baht to pay for the ferry (both ways) If not,we can pick you up at Donsak,the private car will be there waiting to pick you up.

haha not really, if you go with herbert i would agree with you 6 AM to 4PM, this is crazy.

i went with easy way , it was 6AM and come back at 8PM.

maybe a Benz 300SEL

don't forget the gasoline (~1,200 baht)

5,200 baht divided by 3 people = ~1,733 baht (without gasoline)

6,400 baht divided by 3 people = ~2,133 baht (with gasoline)

In samui you can rent a toyota fortuner for 1700 baht. Even including diesel you will not reach 5200.

Just remember to ask the guy you rent from if you are allowed to leave the island. Many of the renters (all i think) on samui have insurances wich don´t allow you to leave samui with the car.

I beleive you can rent from seatran in donsak. Then you dont have to go on the ferry with the car and that saves you 600 baht return. Plus the fact that you are sure to get on the boat, as a walking person. Car-tickets are usually sold out around 3-4 in the afternoon and prebooking can also mean you miss the boat you booked and have to do a hotel night. If its your first time. It´s not a slow, nice and easy drive to do it return in one day. You have to rush it and plan things so they go smothely.

If i where you i would check with seatran how much they charge for the cars.

Quite honestly, if you are thinking of doing this in one day i would use some of the companies and not try to do it myself. I have not gone with Julie since december last year but at that time she was 1900 baht. I think you will have problems doing it cheaper. Honestly. Not much to save and alot of hassle.

Benefit of going together some friends and rent a car is if you take it as a fun, slow roadtrip. But that mean you don´t do it in one day. Take a nice hotelnight in for instans sadao (oliver hotel, right in central sadao, 5minuite walk to borderstation, 500 baht/night.)

little missunderstanding I guess, I did this trip with two other nice guy's from Phangan and it was a cool drive and fun. We left with the earliest ferry and came back with the evening ferry. In that amount everything is included incl. a good driver. You only have to pay the Raja Ferry in additional. Good choice anyway. An far better then pay this idiots in Burma 20 USD.
