November 5, 200817 yr I am looking into becoming a teacher in Thailand.. possibly an International teacher, so it may give me a better chance to travel around.. My question is: I am currently in my home country USA for my 1 yr visa for Thailand. While i am here i would like to best prepare myself for a teaching position when i return.. I currently have a bachelors degree in buss, but nothing in the way of teaching.. My goal would be to start out teaching english, but then maybe move onto a comp teaching class.. What would you recommend in the way of certificates / degrees, etc... that i can obtain here, before my journey back to Thailand? Thanks guys, mike
November 5, 200817 yr If you want to teach at an international school, get a B.Ed. You might want to get an advanced degree, like an MBA or Masters in English.
November 6, 200817 yr You seem confident of obtaining a 1-year visa. My experience is that you'll need loads of cash in a bank account to obtain a 1-year Non-imm O or sponsorship from an employer or TEFL company to obtain a 1-year non-imm B.

November 6, 200817 yr Looking at your sentence structure, grammar, abbreviations etc .... perhaps you should consider some classes in the English language first
