14 year old boy shot dead at local campsite.

Just after 7pm on Thursday, Police Major Somporn from Pattaya Police Station received an urgent call to attend a Constructors Campsite located in Soi Naklua 16/2 to investigate a fatal shooting. At the scene, Police inspected the body of Khun Sonlum aged 14. He had been shot in his heart and was pronounced dead when transferred to Hospital. Khun Tawee aged 39, a technician working at the site explained that everyone was out working at the time of the shooting. He heard a single shot from within the campsite and went to investigate. He discovered the body of the 14 year old but the shooter was nowhere to be seen. Police Colonel Nopadon, the Chief of Pattaya Police is personally overseeing the case and suspects the shooting may have been a jealous act by someone within the campsite. The murder investigation continues.

... the Chief of Pattaya Police is personally overseeing the case...

That'll eventually be a suicide verdict then... :o

14 years old, how tragic, the place is becoming more and more like the various countries we each left on a daily basis.

How right you are, this is so distressing, it would seems that nothing can be done to stop or even reduce the number of gun related occurrences. :o

My deepest sympathies to the family of the victim. It's so sad when a young life like this is cut so short.
