i read on the net that there are some happenings for this festival near the thaksin bridge.

thinking of going there tonight or tomorrow night, if i can leave office early enough.

any advice on the following:-

- best way to get there? bts to saphan thaksin, then walk?

- any good angles, or pointers on what and what not to photograph? eg. cultural taboos?

- good timing to get there?

- any other information worth knowing?

cheers!

went to the bts.

got a bit confused with bearings.

stayed on the bridge till about 7:45pm. nothing happened, left home with CF card empty :o

Probably something to do with Loy Krathong being tomorrow (Wed), not today!!

probably so ... but i read on www.loikrathong.net/en. supposedly over 4 nights. that's why i had all the enthusiasm :D . or maybe i left too early.

anyway, may try again tonight then ... if time permits.

I hope you had more luck tonight, there was certainly plenty going on down below while I was dining with friends in one of The Peninsula Penthouse suites. Cracking firework display!!!

Loy Krathong 12/11/08

I thought it only fair to share my pictures from the penthouse suite @ the Peninsula Hotel with those who were not fortunate enough to be there. :o
