Dear all people more experienced with Thai visas than myself,

I am writing to see if anyone knows if it is possible to complete two tasks on the same day. Here is the situation: On Monday the 24th of November I am arriving in Bangkokg to renew/extend my Non-O (90 days are up) and Suanaplu which expires on Nov 26. However on Nov 25 at 5am I am leaving for two months so at the SAME time, in the SAME day I need to get a re-entry permit. What I would like to know is if anyone has experience with this and knows if this is possible.

If this is not possible is it possible to renew/extend the non-o and then get a re-entry permit at the airport on the morning of the 25th before I leave?

I am not sure if I should call this process renewing or extending. I was granted the Non-O 90 days ago on a basis of marriage for the first time. So I am just needed to request an additional 90 days. Do I need any support evidence for that?

Thank you so much in advance for your help and advice.

If you are talking about a single entry Non O Visa you cannot extend/renew at Immigration. You have to go to a consulate outside Thailand and get another one.

If you are talking about a Multy Entry Non O you have to cross the border and come back again.

A Non O Visa can only be extended for one year if you qualify.

If you are already on a one year extension and are talking about the 90 days address report, yes you can get the Re Entry Permit at the same time.

Where are you arriving from on the 24th? From within Thailand or outside?

Is your non-o a single or multiple entry?

You can not extend your non-o visa for another 90 days.

The most you could get is a 60 days extension to visit your wife. So a re-entry permit would not do you any good.

First of all, I am no expert, but welcome to ThaiVisa. What you seem to be asking, although I am not sure, is if you can EXTEND a non-O visa at Suan Phlu on the same day you get a re-entry permit. I did both those things in the same day in Hua Hin, and at Chiang Mai, but those are both smaller offices.

But when I had a non-B visa, it was good for a year and the only 90 days was when I had to exit the country and later re-enter without having ae-entry permit. Could you please clarify what kind of visa you have? Thanks.

Agree. Both of those things can be done on the same day.

She is talking about extending for 90 days. This cannot be done. She can only extend a Non O Visa for 12 months based on her marriage to a Thai man.

She is not very clear on what Visa she has or has misunderstood her Immigration status.

More info. needed.

Thank you everyone for your help, sorry to have caused some confusion. I thought I was clear that I had a Non-Immigrant "O" visa based on marriage to my Thai husband. This visa was applied for and grated at Suan Phlu on August 19 with an expiration of November 26 and I was under the impression that every 90 days I need to get a renewal or extension. I addmitted from the beggining I wasn't sure what to call it.

It is a one-entry visa automatically, I thought. And thus since I am leaving Thailand for some time I need to get a re-entry permit.

This is how it was explained to me by the immigration officer at Suan Phlu. So hopefully with that clearing things up my question was can both of these tasks be accomplished on the same day.

And the answer seems to be, according to the last two replies, that yes it is possible to do on the same day, is that correct? And they are both possible at Suan Phlu without having to leave the country?

If I am completely mistaken about the whole thing and have missed something please let me know.

Thank you again.

What kind of visa did you have before the non-o? I am guessing that it was a tourist or a visa exempt entry. And they gave you a 90 day visa when you changed visa status.

I think the next extension you get will be for one year not 90 days. You may not have enough time to get this done before you leave though. Also they may not issue the extension the same day and you will have to come back in 30 days to get your extension.

It might be better to wait until you get back to get the one year extension and while you you are in the states apply for a non-o visa at a consulate there.

Look at page 8 case 7.17 of police order for more info on whats required for getting an extension.

Still confused.

The only way Suan Phlu would give you a Non Imm O Visa would be if it was part of the process of a one year extension based on your marriage. If this is the case you would have to go back there now and apply for the 1 year extension. They will not give you 90 days for sure.

If you are already on a years extension you have to report your address every 90 days to Immigration. Maybe you are confused with that.

Sorry but we need a better idea on what you actually have.

Can you scan the stamps from your passport.
