Sofitel Raja Orchid Khon Kaen rebrands as Pullman Khon Kaen Raja Orchid

Accor has rebranded the Sofitel Raja Orchid Khon Kaen in Thailand as the Pullman Khon Kaen Raja Orchid. The hotel is Accor’s second Pullman hotel in Thailand.

The Pullman Khon Kaen Raja Orchid located in the heart of the city remains the only five-star internationally branded hotel in the city. As part of its rebranding, the hotel has refurbished its extensive facilities including guest rooms, meeting facilities, a new business centre with meeting rooms, the addition of Teppanyaki grills to the Sushi Bar, and expanded its bakery.

“The hotel’s main target markets have always been the public, corporate and meetings sectors. Our in-room facilities are premium, the leisure facilities are extensive and the meeting and conference facilities are excellent.” said Ole Nielsen, General Manager for Pullman Khon Kaen Raja Orchid.

Each of the 293 guest rooms at the Pullman Khon Kaen Raja Orchid are fitted with LCD televisions with a broad satellite channel selection, multi media hub, in room safe and all the facilities today’s travellers demand and expect from a five star hotel.

It is an excellent hotel, which however has been slowly ratcheting up its prices in the last few years. Does this mean another steep price hike just at the time when the global recession is biting, I wonder? The Pullman would probably still be more reasonable than that other leader in the Isaan highest hotel rate stakes - the Loei Palace.

I noticed it had changed the name at the top of the tower when driving past the other week

Totster :o

lovely hotel and family friendly; we always stay at the Executive Suite, it allows you bird eye view of the city. Breakfast is sumptuous

Yes, a really top class hotel. Stayed their for a week once when they were having hard times and only charged 2000 a night but gave you coupons worth 1000 to eat in any of their restaurants....what a deal.!!

Have to use the Khon Kaen hotel or the Roma nowadays :o
