Am a 12 to 14 Australian size and i wonder if i will find clothes in bangkok to fit as the Thais are all so small.

Had a friend go to Penang and buy heaps...will i be as lucky?If so, where?

Pratunam market is the place to go for women's clothes, so the wife tells me.

Pratunam selection is huge but I have found their clothes generally don't fit my western size (ahem) assets. Either buy your clothes at a large department store or wait till you go home (which is what I do). I am hardly a large girl but found that the clothes I like are made for women with no hips or breasts. Since I am not much bigger than alot of Thai women and alot smaller than quite a few I wonder where those "larger" girls go.

As for men's clothes, well, I don't know what the bigger guys do. My husband is hardly large (although for a Thai guy he is a good size) and he ends up buying XL stuff here whereas in the US he wouldn't be bigger than a medium. What do 6 foot and over guys do for clothes? Get them made?

For really big people, there's a couple of stalls on the top floor of the mbk that sell XXXXL sizes, but it's mostly t-shirts. not sure if they do trousers.
