Gotta admit it wasn't too pleasant 2nd time around in engineering which is probably why most engineers are miserable gits even with their large salaries... engineering curricula ain't studying so much as organized brutality.

March 7, 200917 yr the border guards or somebody got unruly recently in Bangla and some folks were killed...at least they got the balls to bring out the tanks when supposed military folks don't follow orders (unlike some other places that I won't name ) it can be scary bein' inna place overseas where there's civil unrest. I was in Bolivia in 1984 when their currency collapsed and was walkin' out to a plane from the terminal on the tarmac and sum crazy guys came running with weapons to encircle a guy that appeared to be minding his own business. I said 'holy shit' and grabbed the woman in front of me and her bags and said lets run! she started struggling as she thought that I was after her luggage . Bangla is rough duty in the best of times, humph...can't imagine what kazakhstan will be like...take care. 'you are a mutinous dog!' 'Retract that, sir!' (there was something tragic about Bligh; I don't think that he intended to be an asshol_e..it were the institution and the circumstances...)
