The chap on the right is Khaosai Galaxy one time Jr Bantamweight WBA Champion ( for about 5 years!) and probabaly the biggest sporting hero in Thai History. Dunno if he acts though ?

You will also find Khaosais mug in the boxing Hall of Fame. Outstanding boxer.

I once met Khaosai whilst watching a WBC title match in Bkk about 9 years ago , I recognised him a few rows ahead of me , plucked up the courage to speak with him. My Thai was awful then , his English non-existant. He knew though , that at the drop of a hat , I could take him , no question.....

Seriously he was a nice bloke , but what a hard fukcer he looked , even at 5 ft 0 , the face was enough to stop traffic.

I wouldn't like to be the one he caught calling him a trannie..

Without a doubt Khaosai was Thailand's only world class athelete to emerge in the 20th century. Once named the WBA boxer of the year, he gained respect from the worldwide boxing establishment both for his work ethic (defending his title several times a year) and his title achievements. He was/is a class act, but had/has a pugilists's usual dubious entourage that invested his earnings into some good and some rather doubtful investments.

Galaxy reigned as champion for 7 years, defending his title 19 times and winning 16 of the bouts by knockout. Although he is considered one of, if not the greatest Thai fighter of all-time, most boxing historians question his lack of opposition and therefore do not rate him as highly as if he had fought better competition.

There are many world class boxers from Thailand, far too many to count but some of them are: Pongsaklke Wongjamkam, Samart Payakarun, Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym, Yodsanan Sityodtong....etc., etc.....

You guys are forgetting probably the best Thai fighter of all time, Chanchai Chionoi. I met him on a flight to LA in the early 1990's on his way to recieving one of the 10 awards for best fighters of the century (?). One of the others to recieve this award was Muhammed Ali. I believe one was given for each weight division.

How about Sot Chitlada?

I think its the boxer's twin brother....I've seen them on a TV show recently playing comic sorts of characters.
