So, mother-in-law had an AirBlade that was passed on to the brother-in-law. Now M-I-L needs a new scooter. She'd like another AirBlade since the style (which I won't comment on her desire for style over substance) is in her words "Cool". Am I wrong for understanding that the AirBlade does NOT offer fuel injection?

I'd prefer for her to get a Cz-I, just like the wife, since it has much more storage space and seems a bit more peppy from my limited riding on it.

Hi Dave, Honda selling Airblades with PGM-FI. Thats the new model. I dont know why you think the CZ-I has more storage space then the new Airblade, I can garantuee you that its not true.

CZ-I is a nice little bike, but the new Airblade have alot more storage space and it got FI nowdays ( if you buy a new model ). Check the honda website and you can see for yourself, I personally dont have any driving experiance with the Airblade but me wife got a CZ-I now and it works.. but she could need the extra storage you get from the new Airblade.

Peace

I'm just getting a mental picture of dave-boo MIL's airblade after hes finished with it......turbo, pipe, oversized injectors, blueprinted R1 engine & a few other mods....just in case he has to ride it. Go lad, go!

I was under the impression that they were offering a FI model, but wanted to confirm first. Also, why does the AirBlade offer more space. Seems to me that they both have the same underseat compartment, but the Cz-I has the two areas for the bottles, a clip up by your knee and IF I remember correctly mounting screws for a front basket.

I couldn't get too gnarly with it; perhaps some sneaky pete hidden up under the plastic would make her hair curl though.....

Actually thought about getting a decent box for it, but that would require fabrication of a mounting bracket.

I've got the new pgm fi air blade and I highly recommend it.

It has more storage that the non FI model under the seat and it has 2 compartments with lids in the front. :o

Thanks for the heads up. Didn't know they changed it that much.

One huge point in favor for either the Air Blade or the Nouvo that I don't think has been focused on here enough is compared to smaller bikes such as the Click, the Fino, and the Mio the tires on both these bikes are substantially larger. And for that matter there's a big difference between a Honda Wave with its standard tires versus those on the Nouvos and Airblades. A Honda Wave has a measurement of just 60 mm for the width of its front tire. The nouvos are 70 and the Airblade measures 80 which his 33 % wider than the front tire of a Wave. They are also a bit heavier so all in all they are substantially more stable.

Right now I'm nearly tempted into trading for that new fuel injected Air Blade like Dave's got which should get me 15 % further down the road without having to refuel because of the fuel injection. Only thing is my Nouvo, now three years old, is still driving as if it's brand new and the biggest problem so far has been having to replace the rear brake pad for 180 baht.

I dont know what you talking about Dave, but the CZ-i doesnt have those features you are talking about.. I dont know if you made a mistake, I think you are talking about Click i, those have about the same storage as the Airblade, but the CZ-i have a small U-box and no other options..

CZ-i = no storage, smaller and lighter..

Click i = storage, heavier and a bit bigger.

Airblade i = much storage ( whole seat is a U-box now which it isnt on the click i. ), about same as the click i in the other departments i would guess.

how does that sound ?

Hi Dave, what is the further difference besides the bigger storage to the non-Fi-Airblade?

I drove a almost new non-Fi-Airblade a few weeks ago, but I was really disappointed by the engine (torque, highspeed)  :o

Is there a remarkable improvement...?   (I know it´s still just a 110cc...)
