Need Help On Motorcycle Problem

Featured Replies

i has two bikes at home, nsr 150 sp and suzuki smash 110cc.

both has similar problem, nsr 150 sp difficult to start at all but it's been taken care of by the shop, still waiting for the result within this week.

suzuki smash run perfect until 1 weeks ago, every morning i need to push it and put the gear just to start it, every day......... :o:D:D . Battery is new, the engine oil is elf SAE40, the shop said it's normal but i never encounter it before.....strange.

any idea what is the problem and how to fix it? or any suggestion for quick start in the morning?

thx.

Use a multigrade oil like castrol power 1. a straight oil is what you might put in a lawn mower. always use a decent multigrade 10/40 or 10/50

is it electric start or kick start are you using gasohol, do you have a choke?

oh and change your service shop they are idiots.

lol, :o i use that service shop only incase of simple fix, for hard fix i have different shop.

before i used castrol 4T-SAE 10/40, currently i change it into elf SAE-40 figure that it wont be that cold here in thailand. Is engine oil has any influence on difficult start??

suzuki smash 110 is kick start only with choke control, i suspect there is water condensation on the fuel line, i use regular 91.

Without needing any equipment, how are the lights on your dashboard before you start the engine. They should be bright and not dim. If they are dim, you have a battery or electrics problem. This would make it hard to start.

the battery is brand new, changed yesterday, all bright all working.

someone suggested to open the choke and open the gas fully, give it a few kicks. i'll try it tomorrow......

The phase 'A little knowledge is a dangerous thing' springs to mind here. Suggest you don't try to fix it but take it to Suzuki or a trustworth mechanic

the nearest suzuki dealer is 20 kms away, the nearest mechanic said no problem ............. see the problem here. (i live in quite a village area :o
