Doubt they've seen an OM-1 for a while, but they can probably recommend someone if they can't do it themselves. Technicians on site and they'll have a look at your camera while you wait for an opinion.

Thank you very much "sibeymai" for the info. :o

I seriously doubt the distributor can service a camera that old when the manufacturer has terminated servicing OM1 & 2 long ago. Besides, Jebsen and Jessen were clueless when I asked them to upgrade the ROM of my Sigma lens they distribute (AF no logner worked when I changed the camera body), what Sigma in Japan does free of charge.

There seems to be a few workshops that can repair OM series in Japan that I can find on internet, though.

You're probably right. Sometimes, if a company has been the distributor for a few years, they have an "old-timer" around who knows the old equipment. granted that will have to be a while for an OM-1. But it's a good starting point.

I used an OM-1 back in the early 80s. Thought it excellent, especially the shutter speed adjustment on the lens mount. The OM-2 was even better (let's not mention the OM-10, that's about the time I switched to Nikon, but happy to be back using Olympus again).
