Ninja 250r Exhaust Testing

We secured a exhaust system of a famous Indonesian exhausted builder. These guys are world famous in two stroke exhaust systems.

The exhaust is, made by R9 Racing Generation, and the cost was about 7200 Baht, which would be the most cheapest exhaust systems for the Kawasaki Ninja 250R. The downside is that is was not developed for the fuel injection model, and so not has any Lambada sensor entry points...

And as BikeBikeBKK offered to test, during the testing or publishing our results, or any results we are not allowed to use the name R9… or all it trademarks….

Our first inspection to the Indonesian build exhaust system, which BikeBikeBKK wanted to test for us, is that is has no sensor points. But as it was clearly made out in our original posting that an Indonesian, or USA carburetor exhaust system would not work for a Fuel Injection bike. It should be clear that a clearing test is needed.

Some commentator from the exhaust builders, never try this, as it can damage the engine beyond repair... R9 Racing Generation

Of course we have to make a contract with the owner, as we can be charged with destroying or damaging personal property with pre-knowledge...

All you have to do is weld a sensor bung onto it. its been done on the 'Area P' exhausts, so is not a problem. Bard has a good machine shop near him in Rayong that can do it for approx 200-300 baht. As both his and Simons exhaust were US spec (carb) exhausts

Richard does that price include the muffler as well. maybe you can put some pictures up.

Yes all you do is installing the bung, if one ever is stupid enough to run without the sensor installed you will ruin the engine beyond and repair very fast. A fast idiotic way of killing the bike.

Most of us with exhaust upgrade mod the carb system to be useful with the FI bike, it's fast and easy to do and the cost is about 200 baht.

Cheers Bard

Hiya Richard,

I'm looking forward to testing the R9 exhaust. I'm in Switzerland now, returning to Thailand on the 19th. Let me know when I can pick it up. PM me your contact info and we'll take it from there.

Happy Trails! (No motorcycles here...)

Well folks, my Ninjette has been sold and Richard never contacted me to test the R9 exhaust which is too bad, because Bard could have added the sensor bung for a whopping 200Baht and I bet the R9 would have been awesome. I'm sure there are plenty of other Ninja 250R owners out there who would love to test Richards Indonesian pipe, assuming he actually has it. You know what they say about assumptions... :D:D:o
