Very looking forward to the event as always - Maybe the Mayor of Pattaya will be there as he goes every year, can't be such a bad event !!! I say Good - very good...

Pattaya_girl - that was the last Mayor of Pattaya - yes he was cool and rode a Harley. But I am sure that the new Mayor will be there - good publicity for Pattaya.

It is a great weekend and I even change the date for my birthday party to make sure it doesn't clash with this weekend - yeh, I would be having it on my own otherwise!!!!

You should have your birthday party at the event - that would be good.

Is this good for business? Yes

Do they currently need it in Pattaya? Yes

Have they "big" problems with darker sides here in Thailand and bikers? No

Noise, <deleted> go between beer bars in Pattaya where every bar tries to be louder than each-other, or pickups selling som-tam with loud speakers day and night, and people worry about noise? get a life guys or go home to quiet never happening land

Bikes, engines, fun loving people using money and concerts way to go... get more of it...

What time does the opening party start?

Good question !

I arrive around noon(ish) and have to open and check my apartment, unpack, check out my bike, say hi to dear old dad (check out his recently purchased Harley), eat, call the g/f, then ride out to Jomtien.

Well, I suppose I could put off calling the g/f until the next day. :o

Will there be food at this event ? Watching belly dancers and chainsaw jugglers always makes me HUNGRY !! :D

Thanks to all the people who have posted on this topic and I can assure you that having lived here in Pattaya for eight years I have very much got a life, it just doesn't revolve around watching middle aged farang wannabee Hells Angels whose main transportation is a Honda Jazz or Ford pickup from parading up and down making as much noise as they can on a motorbike, you remind me of the "if you don't like it go back to your own country" brigade that post on these forums, as for the guy who thinks I might be his neighbour I can assure you that I do not have an inconsiderate pr**k like you living in my village, I'm glad that some people have informed me that it's more a family orientated meet but I will still be staying at home during this weekend if only to avoid the traffic.

The Opening Party will start around 2pm but will probably take a while until it gets going! This party although hosted by ourselves will infact include the whole soi! I'm guessing most guesthouses will indeed have food stalls outside their place of business. On site beer sales from San Miguel will go to charity. Also there will be a lucky draw (50baht per ticket) with chances of winning a week in Samui/Phuket as well as garments from Hard Rock etc....

Other than that you could volunteer to be Hypnotised!!

There will also be ample parking for bikers on beach road/soi 4 all co ordinated with local authorities so dont be shy if you have a bike!

See you there!

If you have lived here for 8 years then you should have known the answer to your opening post, or was it a vain attempt at shitstirring on your behalf?? Naughty naughty :o , you obviously picked the wrong subject!

Right for Sponsorship ideally we are after cash!! but we understand in these times it will be difficult so we will except some prizes for the lucky draw such as Dinner for 2, room nights at Hotel/resorts. That kind of thing. In return you business logo will be put on the main stage and recieve local, national & international media attention. More importantly we can give the Camillian Centre Rayong things they desperately need.

PM your ideas would love to hear them

pattaya_girl - how was the Ban Amphur Bike Party?

Aussiechick - The Ban Ampur Bike bash went down a treat, seemed a lot bigger than last year, all the regular faces were there. All in all a good night. There was no free food like last year but a very lot of people and the stadium was huge. Now i am looking forward to the big one, Burapa... 3 weeks to go.

I wouldn't mind if they rode sports bikes but the Harleys and the like are annoyingly noisy and the riders seem to delight in making as much noise as possible around town. Maybe they should find a bike park for them outside of town and bring them in by Baht bus! :o

Ofcourse Pattaya is normally a quiet and serene place to be with no loud music or any other noise polution ????

Most BOY RACERS I know with sports bikes have after market pipes on them. ( For after market read LOUD!!!! ) You know to squeeze that extra 7.5 mph out of them and so everybody knows they are coming.

Maybe we could also ship the whinging whining drunken tattooed yobs out to Hua Hin for the weekend so we dont spoil their town. :D

These people do a great deal for local charities and in all the meets I've ever been to I've NEVER seen the slightest bit of trouble. Get a life or go away for a weekend. I would imagine the Thais are looking forward to the custom in the present climate!

Oh and I dont ride a Harley I ride a Triumph ! :D OH and its not noisy! :D

Looking forward to it as well... And YES as with every other event - serves a purpose to help the community + offer a great night out!

And I can VOUCH for H20Dunc bike - not noisy - classy ride Dunc!
