April 16, 200916 yr Perhaps the latest addition to his staff will be the game changer? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/7995570.stm The news media should have better uses for their time than to go around sniffing dogs butts, but alas its what they prefer to do.
April 24, 200916 yr I really do not understand why so many people think this guy is the best since sliced bread. Look at his actions and what kind of peeps he has in his team, and look what that team is doing. He is a puppet just like all others before him. But keep dreaming, you will soon wake up.
May 16, 200916 yr Now I'm not great at math but if you gave 40million people 1 million dollars each then that doesn't total 40 million dollars. There seem to be a few zeros missing Maybe give them a dollar each. How's that "hope and change" working for you now? Sorry. my mistake, shoulda bin billion..... grrrrrrrr Still cheap Ahem......try again. 40 Trillion$. It would cost you $40 billion to print it. :D Regards.
May 17, 200916 yr As far as Fox News and fat-faced Sean, they should be taken off the air, and his tongue cut off. How can anyone watch that and not vomit? It's good to see your a proponent of free speech
July 29, 200916 yr What do you do if you miss your Mother-In-Law? It's an old joke. Who, in their right mind, would want to be President? The real culprits are only too happy to see President Obama stand up there, and take the heat. That poor man is starting to look like he realizes he's been duped. He only stumbles over his words when he finds himself having to defend the atrocities committed by the previous administration. As far as Fox News and fat-faced Sean, they should be taken off the air, and his tongue cut off. How can anyone watch that and not vomit? President Obama had better be strong, and talk a lot less. Shotime: Does your version of Freedom of the Press extend to MSNBC? Obama promised us "hope and change". I have lost all hope and all I have left is the "change". As I said earlier, he is simply a sleezy politician from the sewers called Chicago politics.

He is a puppet just like all others before him. But keep dreaming, you will soon wake up. Indeed. Same old representive for the establishment. The 'saviour' mode was made easy by the social engineers by a population ready to be taken. I'm sure President Obama is a fine fellow, but he remains the same.....this poster that has been painted as to his presence being extraordinary and exceptional. This is quite obvious as to his foreign policy stance. Who's he really working for?
August 7, 200916 yr The polls have now dipped below 50% thinking he is doing a good job. Sinking like a rock.
August 10, 200916 yr My gal disagrees, but I reckon he has bitten off more than he can chew. For all our sakes, I hope I am wrong.
August 16, 200916 yr I've a feeling we may found at sooner rather than later what he's actually made of - I'm sure al-Qaeda will be keen to find out. How old was GW's first term when 9/11 took place - 9 months. I'm not suggesting that an attack of similar magnitude will occur, however, I'd be surprised if they didn't have something in the pipeline.Just because something looks & sounds good doesn't mean there is any real substance underneath. Perhaps he'll turn out to be a 'chocolate box' president & an empty one at that. Boy you sure were right on with this comment. BO is all about giving telepromptered political speeches. No substance. An empty suit.
August 18, 200916 yr I have to admit that I've come to love the guy. He is a liberal, but he is pragmatic and will do the right thing rather than the liberal thing. He is willing to work with Republicans and is trying to include them in his plans for the country. On the other hand, he does not have a lot of experience and is dealing with a lot of major problems at a very bad time. He is one cool dude, but can he do it? Can he save us all? There is nothing to save UG. What America now has in it's large lumbering systems is beyond repair. Obama might do some fine talking and have a bigger band-aid to slap on a failing health care system and a weaken economy but we still have lobbists, the electoral college, voters who care more about what Steve and Dan do behind closed doors, Homeland Security, an education system?, and Nancy "F'ing" Pelosi. Sorry, things are not getting better, just more entertaining for all American collapse watchers.
August 18, 200916 yr I've seen the US being counted out many times before. She's just a bit dazed right now is all. She'll be back.
August 18, 200916 yr I've seen the US being counted out many times before. She's just a bit dazed right now is all. She'll be back. I hope you are right. I still feel that America has spent too much time basking in the sun as the number one that we have forgotten how to be that ideal. We have yet to have a large enough smack in the face from reality to begin to make the changes needed to remain a wealthy free nation. We have lost some of our edge and are too fearful, so we keep telling ourselves that we are number one instead of acting like it. This is a poor way to make my point, Bill Mahr spoke on this once before as was better spoken on the subject.
August 19, 200916 yr I really do not understand why so many people think this guy is the best since sliced bread......................................... Contrast. The enormous contrast to the idiot predecessor. When I say "idiot", I'm not using the common slang for someone who made a few silly mistakes, I literally mean an actual moron.

BO is glib (with the help of a teleprompter). GB definitely was not, however he did earn an MBA from Yale. Not easy, and clearly beyond the capability of 'an actual moron". The true concern is BO's determination to eliminate the private sector. Although his scripts are well delivered, his determination to advance an agenda that is contrary to what made America great is beyond disturbing. His mania was clearly evident based upon the thugs with whom he associated. And since being in office, he has violated constitutional law, and is speeding to complete government rule. It's a catastrophe and I can only hope the optimism that cdnvic has is correct.

From what I've seen of him and heard from him, this is very easy to believe. I believe there are entire websites devoted to actual quotes that are hilarious for their incredible stupidity and ignorance. OB on the other hand is eloquent without a teleprompt, plainly knowledgeable about many matters, and seems to have his heart in the right place; the good of the nation, not just the good of his cronies. (edit to emphasise "VERY EASY")

Hopefully it will not be too late with the damage too devastating, to turn it all around.

(edit to emphasise "VERY EASY") May I ask if the source of your information on GWB is the Dan Rather School of Reporting? Obama's heart is in the right place? If it wasn't for the fact you apparantly believe this, it would be funny. BHO's heart is exactly where it has been for the past 20 years. Right in the pocket of the labor unions, the community organizers and the political powers that put him where he is. He is the most political animal I have ever seen darken the doors of Washington. He makes Lyndon Johnson look downright honest....and I'm from Texas. This guy was given an unlimited expense account...and exceeded it. He and the Pelosi/Reid led Congress have to be reined in. They are all out of control. My suggestion is for all you Kool Aid drinkers to keep those tin cups handy. You're going to need them for something other than Kool Aid in a year or so.

If any questions are asked that are not on the menu, he stammers and stutters and dances around without giving any answers. The first one I watched was a lesson in double speak. Nine questions answered in 55 minutes? Do you have any links to support your contention the MBA that Bush had was a gift? How do you define it as a gift? Was it tuition free? Did he not have to attend classes or do the class work? Give us some specifics here. You people have been bashing Bush for well over eight years without substantiation of any of these claims, other than..."Well, George Soros says it, so it must be true". PS: How did Obama pay his tuition at the colleges and universities he attended? Have you seen his transcript at any of these schools? We won't even get into the Michelle Obama area at this point in our little discussion.
August 25, 200916 yr The World has a new President? Wishful thinking from some. The US has a new President. By the end of his term, he'll have trouble saving his own arse, let alone the rest of the Worlds'. Regards.

Did he not have to attend classes or do the class work? Give us some specifics here. Actually, I located information to the contrary. The following is an excerpt from an article written by an individual who attended Harvard Business School during the same time GWB attended. The following commentary dispels the liberal party line regarding a Harvard MBA being gifted. "The comparatively small amount of attention paid by the political press to the President's Harvard MBA partially reflects a generalized ignorance of, and hostility toward, the degree itself. More importantly, acknowledging that he learned any valuable intellectual perspectives would contradict the storyline that young W was a party animal, who coasted through his elite education, scarcely cracking a book. In other words, as the left never tires of claiming, he is too 'stupid' to have picked up any tricks across the Charles River from Harvard Square. This is patently incorrect. Having attended Harvard Business School at the same time as the President, graduating from the two—year program a year after he did, and then serving on its faculty after a year's interval spent writing a PhD thesis, I am intimately familiar with the rigors of the program at the time, and the minuscule degree of slack cut for even the most well—connected students, when their performance did not make the grade." http://www.americanthinker.com/2004/02/gwb_hbs_mba.html
August 26, 200916 yr I'm sure that an MBA from Harvard would be worth at least as much as a Liberal Arts degree from Vassar.
September 3, 200916 yr Here is an interesting article from Investors Business Daily. The media is one reason GWB us considered "dumb". That's what they told us for eight years and wanted us to think. I chose to think for myself. I am still thinking for myself as it relates to Obama. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Bush's Guard Service By INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY | Posted Friday, August 28, 2009 4:20 PM PT Media Bias: Veteran reporter, author and commentator Bernard Goldberg reports that when CBS News did its fake National Guard story on George W. Bush avoiding service in Vietnam, it knew it was a lie. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's a liberal urban legend that Bush used the influence of his father and his father's friends to land a cushy position in the Texas National Guard to avoid service in Vietnam. The Democrats would run John Kerry as a hero in the war, and CBS News was all too eager to help with Mary Mapes producing a "60 Minutes II" segment in September 2004 charging exactly that. The story collapsed quickly as documents used to support the allegations against Bush were proved to be amateur night forgeries. CBS did an internal investigation that discredited the memos and caused the network to fire Mapes. Later Dan Rather, who narrated the story, said that while the memos may not have been genuine, he was certain the story was. That was his story, and he stuck to it. Retired Col. Ed Morrisey, the man who swore Bush into the Guard, told CBS affiliate WVLT in Knoxville, Tenn., a different story. "The Air Force, in their ultimate wisdom, assembled a group of F-102s and took them to Southeast Asia. Bush volunteered to go. But he needed to have 500 (flight) hours, but he had just over 300 hours, so he wasn't able to go," Morrisey said. Fact is, Bush enlisted as an airman basic in the 147th Fighter-Interceptor Group at Ellington Air Force Base in Houston on May 28, 1968 — when the 147th was participating in combat in Vietnam. From 1968 through 1970, pilots from the 147th participated in operation Palace Alert. The F-102 Bush flew was designed primarily for defense against the threat of Soviet bombers, and units charged with this task were the best of the best. Only a return of his unit's mission to continental air defense before Bush completed his flight training made it unlikely he'd fly in combat. Bush avoided nothing. The heart of the Mapes-Rather hatchet job was that Bush was a coward who avoided action in Vietnam. That was false, and CBS' own report on the matter shows that Mapes knew it was false. Goldberg, who used to work at CBS, revealed last week that, according to the report, "Mapes had information prior to the airing of the Sept. 8 (2004) segment that President Bush, while in the Texas Air National Guard, did volunteer for service in Vietnam but was turned down in favor of more experienced pilots." The report continued: "For example, a flight instructor who served in the (Guard) with Lt. Bush advised Mapes in 1999 that Bush 'did want to go to Vietnam, but others went first.' Similarly, several others advised Mapes in 1999, and again in 2004 before Sept. 8, that Bush had volunteered to go to Vietnam but did not have enough flight hours to qualify." It's still unclear whether Rather also knew this particular truth. But as anchor and managing editor of "CBS Evening News," he should have. He and Mapes were and are hard-core Democrats, and it's unlikely Mapes kept Rather in the dark. One thing we can be sure of: Don't expect to see this particular story on "60 Minutes."
September 3, 200916 yr ".....The media is one reason GWB us considered "dumb". That's what they told us for eight years and wanted us to think. I chose to think for myself....." (chuckd) There is left and right wing media. There certainly is two sides to any story. There's the National Guard story, the Viet Nam service story, the drunk driving stories, the MBA story etc.... We could research for months getting story and counter-story......we are left only with words from the horses mouth as the best source of our impression...GWB speaking. I would make a gentleman's wager (or a bet for $100) that there are many many more verifiably true quotes from GWB that show him to be poorly educated and of low IQ. Would anyone like to start posting quotes that make GWB look intelligent? You KNOW that I can post quotes that show him to be a fool, so I'll refrain for now. When one can never be sure of the media, left or right slant, if one gets an impression from the man's own words that he is not too bright, then one could quite reasonably take the side of the left-wing media.

It is not in dispute that GWB was far from glib. This however does not equate to him being poorly educated. The Harvard MBA (which is not 'a story', but a fact) proves that he is educated. His delivery causes him to 'sound' unintelligent. As I said, he is not glib. Some mistakenly equate glibness to intelligence. By now, after experiencing Obama, it should be clear that this is not always the case.
