What should I do about the air ticket from BKK to Australia - a oneway or return, buy in Australia or in Thailand over internet

If it's a settlement visa then buy a one way ticket. I bought a one way for my Mrs. I bought it online in the UK. If you buy it in Thailand, buy it yourself directly from the airline.

One way - you are planning on her staying aren't you

I bought mine at the airport directly from the airline. We did this for convenience and ease. It depends what is most important - cost or getting the ticket quickly, but the answer really is to shop around and just go with the most cost effective option.

but as its your parthers first time worth 1200+ to Perth etc on anice ride

Inmany trips downunder cannot beat Singapore for comfort

Qantas for matiness
