Always get my retirement extension in BKK, about 3 weeks before the due date, have 5years extensions..

Due date is 24th March 2009... I am going out of Thailand for the 1st time, 13th February until 26 March

Do I need to show proof to renew my extension 1 month earlier than I normally do?

What to fill in on the TM.8 form.? last question on form "and have been permitted to stay up to : date/month/year"

do I leave this blank so can put in the new extension date? hopefully 24 March 2010

They usually do accomodate you if you have to travel .

Tm8. I would leave it blank until you are issued with your extension.

Not quite sure what you meant by proof.

Proof of travel? I would not have thought so but someone else should know for sure.

You need to get your extension before you leave. If not you will only get a re-entry permit good until March 24.

If you have your ticket for your trip to show immigration you should not have a problem to get it done before you leave.

You can leave the date balnk on the TM8 until you get your extension if you wish.

Yes......... Reason being I fly to KL and then on, The Tickets from KL onwards are with my friends in KL, so the only ticket I will have is BKK to KL and return..

I would guess they are e-tickets which were sent by email. See if they can forward them to you. Or if they are real paper tickets a faxed or scanned copy should be enough.

But the KL tickets should be enough to show you won't be here.

Don't forget the re-entry permit after you get the new extension.

Update:

Just got back from renewing my Extension so I am good till 24 March 2010, I took the flight ticket BKK - KL but was not asked for it, NO questions asked at all about why I was 7 week early..
