Parking Car In Phuket.

Featured Replies

I am planning to drive to phuket from Udon Thani in about three day's and then spent about a week on the beaches, after that around the 19 th of march plan to fly to singapore for a day of 5,but the problem is where I can park my car in a safe way so that when I come back it is still in one piece with the windows intact.I will use a hotel in Chalong.

Thanks for your information.

TJAN,

How about the airport? It's only 50Baht per day, I have done it lots as have others and no problems and since you are flying out...well that's what i would do....

From my experience and those of a couple of friends, be sure to park pretty far away so the local "taxis" don't end up keying your car like they did mine and a couple of friends cars.  These aren't the concession nor the meter taxis that are keying, it's someone else.

Chalong isn't exactly a thriving mecca of overfilled parking garages - the only places you may have trouble parking are parts of Phuket Town (but you can usually find a spot within a block) and Patong. As to parking overnight in the Chalong area, I would be most surprised if you had any problems. Park it outside your hotel. I cannot believe that someone suggested you leave your car at the airport (at the other end of the island). Why?

Many of my offshore working guests park their cars at Phuket Airport. One guy left for 3 months without any problem. But park way at the far side where the bus parking is located, and don't park under a tree as your car will be covered in bird shit.
