To be pedantic it was Bud Ekins who did the jump-he also did the stunts in Bullit and remained Steve McQueen's friend until his death. I read that a couple of months ago in a motorcycle mag.....

Yes, I also read that and recently they re-enacted the jump because people were sprouting off that it couldnt be done on a stock bike of that model.

I did click on the link, thats what I said, "Yes, I also read that (bud atkins) and recently they re-enacted the jump......"

I was actually making the comment to dave_boo because he started telling us about bud atkins, who was steve mcqueens stunt double....which is also what I read when I clicked on the link....I WOULDNT OF KNOWN ELSE WISE, Im not that good with names & I can't remember how long its been since ive seen that flick.
