Aircard (cat Cdma) Problems

Featured Replies

for the last month i have experienced continuous problems, connection falling down, or going dormant.

has anybody else the same problems or am i the lucky one?

Me too, have to keep disconnecting and reconnecting to get it going again, some times with a "can't connect to remote computer" error message

This week seems to be really bad :o

Yes me too - Phoned their help desk 1322 and of course it started working as soon as I started speaking

add me! just had to change the wifi because the aircard is just not downloading website...WAY too slow. WHAT is the problem, maybe need to fire CAT. :o

Maybe all of you can get more answers if posting in internet, computer, communication etc, many computer nerds there :o

I can move it to the Internet forum if you'd like, perhaps there will be answers forthcoming there.

May I ask whether anybody has managed to resolve this problem with any degree of success?

Cheers.

I looked at Cat CDMA but then went with AIS net sim. 5000 baht got me the modem, sim and the first months 30 hours up and running. Modem has telephone book and you get a hands free talk set as well. After that its 100 baht a month for 30 hours. its not lightening fast but its only for a stand by when the wireless goes down or I'm travelling. Well happy :D:o

I guess CAT having problems, I experience the same since quite some days and it is getting worse. I use the CMDA WiFi Modem. Sometimes just normal good speed and the next moment death, no traffic, just nothing. Terrible! Amateurs!

if you have a decent mobile phone (nokia for me) you can connect to internet, no monthly charge, 100 bht for 20 hrs,

it works exactly like the aircard, actually, lately it works much better.

today i am cancelling the aircard

Got the same issue - the DNS works as the web sites are identified but then it seems that the responses are lost. It's been better this afternoon, but strangely the speedtest (www.speedtest.net) has today reverted to showing Bangkok as a recommended server to test against, for the last few weeks it has been insisting that Penang is more local to me. Maybe CAT are changing their routing.

i have been having problems for the last month, ive got a cdma usb modem, used to be very good, been to nathon twice to complain but they can not help me,paying 800b a month for nothing really, they must be doing something somewhare to make it so bad as it was fine before!

close the aircard, as i did, use your mobile as a modem, same speed, stable, and 100bht for 20 hrs

you wont regret it!

i used to use mobile but no good whare i live, also paid 10,500b for usb modem, there must be something going on in bkk as it has been ok for 1 year but only bad in last month.
