Cheap Accomodation - Koh Phangan, Koh Tao

Hello everyone!

Your advice needed.

I am looking for a cheap accomodation on Koh Chang/ Koh Phangan/ Koh Tao. 200-300-400 baht per night would be great. Location near the sea - it is a dream!!! No need air condition (hot water - does not really matter). Any places? Mii may kha?

I am planning to go one or 2 islands during april 9 days holidays songkran. Is it possible to book on-line? Or better go and find on the island?

By the way - how is internet on islands - is it expensive in the internet caffes?

Most cheaper type accommodation places will not take bookings though there are always exceptions. Be aware that Koh Tao is extremely busy over Songkran with many Thai visitors making finding a room pretty difficult.

That can be said for most paces during Songkran including transportation. Very busy.

A bit of searching for one's self never hurts either

Prices on Koh Tao for accommodation start from about 700 baht a night if you want to be close to the beach. Guesthouses (Mae Haad / Sairee - further away from the beach) are a bit cheaper and very very basic!

If you're looking for 300 to 400 baht a night for accommodation: Koh Phangan is only 90 minutes away....
