Does anyone have a recommendation for a mover? I’m moving from Saphan Khwai to Chong Nonsi in a few weeks. I have a TV, a fridge, 3 book cases and LOTS of books, plus the usual clothes and a few knick-knacks. Can anyone offer a positive recommendation of anyone they have used (affordable, please!) to move house lately? Because of the location of my new apartment, the move must happen on a Saturday or Sunday.

Thank you in advance.

Sounds like a pick-up truck load.

There are signs (in Thai) all over, probably on your street as well. That have pickups available to help you move. Ask any Thai in your area and you should get a pretty cheap move.

Make sure if you are going to want help loading and unloading that it is included in the price (and that you are not just paying for truck and driver)

Strangely enough, I just moved on Saturday from Asoke to the river. Used a great guy recommended to me with a big, new pick-up (back bit is protected by a large rail thing) with a cab that can accommodate 4 people (at a push). Charged me 800 bht, which didn't include the help loading/unloading thing, but he did chip-in quite a bit anyway. Nice guy, turned-up right on time etc. but speaks no English whatsoever. PM me if you want his number.
