Fingerprints/police Check For Pr

I'm interested to hear from any Aussies who have put in their apps for Thai PR and how they went about the police records with fingerprints check.

I"ve already put the app for PR in, but they didn't accept the police check because the Oz authorities noted that "Not accompanied by fingerprint, Name check only".

According to the Aus police, they will require an authorised fingerprint set to do the full check, but according to the Oz Embassy, they don't provide this service. Thai immigration says the fingerprints have to be done at an embassy OR you have to do the whole thing at the home country.

My question is, does anyone know a way around this, like getting them done at a Thai Police station?

Any info would be gratefully received, especially if it saves me a trip back to Oz.
