'green' Computer Monitor Disposal

Featured Replies

Does anyone have an idea of how to 'greenly' dispose of a cathode tube computer monitor (older large style)? Will the city pick it up if left near the trash and dispose of it properly?

cheesy: :o....do you know which country you are in ???.....dispose of things properly

To most Thai's recycling and green product disposal are concepts practiced on a galaxy far far away! Come back and ask in 30 years. :o

(1) You could take it to one of the repair shops you see around the sois..

(2) Sell it to a scrap dealer..the mobile ones that collect stuff on the back of a pickup truck.

(3) Just leave it on a busy street...it will most likely be gone before you get out of sight of where you left it.

It has scrap value so will be recycled..repaired and used again. :D

if only the plastic bags and bottles disappeared as quickly as anything electrical left lying around :o

Organized high-tech recycling has yet to reach the side streeets - best pass it on to one of the people collecting bottles - if they can recycle or recover value from it in any way they will - the last restort is as land fill.

Leave it outside your house - It will be gone in minutes!

Anything we don't want, we leave outside the gate and its always gone within the hour.
