Ignoring, for now, the fact that buying pirated DVDs is "ïllegal", has anyone else noticed that vendors are now lying about every DVD they sell.

I used to have a reliable supplier across from O'Reilly's pub, on the opposite side of the road, but even they now just tell me every DVD is a master and take the cash.

I have never believed that new movies are masters and usually wait 3+ months after official release before I consider buying a copy, but over the last few months the quality has got worse and worse and almost all movies are from hand held players smuggled into a theater.

I have tried about 4 vendors on Silom and all tell you anything to get your money. Sure, I know that you get what you pay for, but that isn't the purpose of this post.

I'm asking if others have noticed the poor quality increase.
