If you post the make and model of the notebook then perhaps we can point you to the website that has a driver you can download.

Packard Bell, that's a bit more tricky. Here's one to try > Packard Bell XP driver and another > easynote

A trial version of Driver Genius can be found here Driver-Soft that can search for the correct drivers for you.

Tried xp driver no luck, downloading easynote going to take 35 mins could it be that I previously had vista installed? as there is no volumn icon displayed and system for volumn is greyed out :o

Good to hear. Which one fixed it for future reference?

Hi jonty you may be able to help me out if you can?

When you deleted vista how did you do this? did you have to delete every programme on the pc manually? or is there another way of doing it?

I have recently purchased a laptop which came with a copied version of xp on it and i wish to unistall this and install a genuine version.

Any tips on how to delete the copied version would be appreciated.
