Help Please - Late May, Early June Or Mid July For Visit?

Featured Replies

Hi, trying to decide between a late May (leaving UK 22nd), early June (flying back 6th June) visit to Samui or an early July visit.

Can anybody help with which would be the best time to visit? Seem to be going around in circles at the moment trying to decide!

Thanks :o

both dates are basically the same anyway.....

no special events are being held, and the weather will just be hot regardless of whether you stay late may or early june

flights are cheap in may. If your booking a flight from bkk to samui i'd get that booked as their special rates stop at the end of March and they are way cheaper than normal, you can always change the date afterwards.

there always the same price all year round???

special rates

if you book a special rate ie the first or last flight, and then change to another flight IE 10 am for example, BKK air will charge you extra

cheers

nope i have quicly looked at 22/05-06/06 cheapest £434 air france, 20/06-04/07 £529 swiss, 18/07-01/08 £792 the price always goes up around kids holidays..... bit of a rip off really and we know how high xmas is!

Dear Lindaboardman

During the time of your visit it will be hot, but prices for hotel should be ok as it will be low season but if you look now you swear low season already arrived.

as far as your price ticket goes this might give you a basic idea on price faires for airlines check out

www.expedia.com

on there you can at least get multiple ideas on what airlines would be charging. not 100% perfect but always helps me. besides coming to samui, any ideas on what you might be looking to do. Ask questions on here before you come so you have an idea on the island here.

i dont think Samui even had a high season this year....

Thanks for all your help - much appreciated :o We're going to book for the end of May tonight I think.

We were in Samui last year for 10 nights and meant to get over to Koh Tao and Phagnan for a few nights but somehow managed not to move, lol. Went over to Koh Tao for a day trip but that was about as far as we got.

Looking at doing a couple of nights in Koh Tao this time around, any suggestions on places to stay at all?

We had a car for a day last year and got around the island a bit but looking at getting one for a few days this time and taking our time. Any suggestions for beaches to hunt out? We'll be staying in Bophut livinthailandos.

Thanks again everyone :D

To: lindaboardman

well welcome back to samui later on in may.

Koh Tao haven't been there so can't give you any information on hotels

Not sure if you have stayed in bophut or not but if you like a good area minus the noise, and partying night life in chaweng, bophut is a better area, you can even go down to the fisherman village and have your choice of restaurants, little shops or whatever else you might look for. Were at in bophut are you staying

zazen, ibis, peace resort, lawana, bophut resort and spa, bandara, anantara. These hotels are all on the main road. Hopefully someone on here knows of a hotel for you to stay at on koh tao, not sure about hotels but you could try

http://www.asiarooms.com/thailand/koh_tao_island.html

hope this gives you some idea for a hotels there on koh tao. Have fun when your here
